ConnectTVT, the platform connecting and championing the Thames Valley's expanding entrepreneurial ecosystem and tech economy, has successfully lobbied The StartUp Britain bus to extend its route to include Reading.
The bus will be in Reading’s Broad Street between 10am and 4pm on Wednesday, July 29.
The iconic 1966 Routemaster bus - provided by NatWest and sponsored by Sage, Start Up Loans and Upwork - is visiting 28 towns to inspire entrepreneurship in the UK. Anyone thinking about starting or growing their business can get advice, help and support from experts.
In the last two weeks, StartUp Britain has engaged aspiring and early-stage entrepreneurs in Birmingham, Newcastle, Middlesbrough, Leeds, Manchester, Nottingham and many other cities, and now Reading’s chance is coming up.
Louize Clarke, co-founder of ConnectTVT, which was recently shortlisted for the Pride of Reading Business in Action category, said: “This is a major success for the start-up and small business scene here in Reading. It shows that as a town, we are literally back on the map when it comes to being an entrepreneurial hotspot.
