Purpose-led business leaders unite

A group of socially and environmentally conscious business leaders have joined forces to drive positive change across the Three Counties. "Three Counties B Corps" is a peer network for B Corp leaders in Worcestershire, Herefordshire, and Gloucestershire, aiming to foster continuous improvement and collaboration to maximize their impact. This network includes well-known local employers such as Hewett Recruitment, Outdoor tents, awnings and all things camping company, Worcestershire based Olpro, Prime PLC, and Kidderminster-headquartered creative agency DRPG.

This group is hosting a free event for anyone interested in learning more about the benefits and process of becoming B Corp Certified, as well as those looking to network with other purpose-driven business leaders. The event will feature local B Corp businesses sharing their experiences and leading practical discussions around the five pillars of B Corp Certification: Governance, Environment, Customers, Community, and Workers.

Certified B Corporations, or B Corps, are companies verified by B Lab to meet high standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability. B Corp Certification is invaluable in distinguishing your brand and building trust with your consumers, communities, and suppliers by embracing the idea of business as a force for good.

Laura Hewett, Owner and Director of Hewett Recruitment, highlighted the benefits of B Corp Certification: “Becoming a B Corp has increased employee engagement and helped us attract the best candidates. It has also positioned us well to win tenders with larger businesses that need to demonstrate robust supply chain management.”

The event on Friday, Jun 28, 2024 at 10:00M will be hosted at the impressive headquarter studios of DRPG in Hartlebury, also a B Corp. Dale Parmenter, CEO of DRPG, emphasized the alignment of this event with their values and commitment to sustainability: "Hosting this event aligns perfectly with our values and commitment to sustainability. We are proud to share our journey and experiences with the B Corp certification process, and we believe this event will provide invaluable insights and inspiration for other businesses on a similar path."
