Kevin Brooke has been appointed the new general manager of Cliveden House.
For the past four years Brooke has been general manager of the multi-site luxury resort Aman Sveti Stefan in Montenegro, where he was responsible for all aspects of the operation. Earlier management positions with the Aman group were at the Amangani resorts in the USA, the Caribbean and Indonesia.
He takes over his new position from Sue Williams, who is returning to her home county of Wiltshire after four successful years at Cliveden, to take up a new appointment as general manager of fellow Relais & Chateaux property, Whatley Manor.
Andrew Stembridge, managing director of Chewton Glen and Cliveden House. said: “This is a very exciting time for Kevin to be joining the Cliveden management team, as we embark on the creation of a new spa, which is the fourth and final phase of the restoration and refurbishment of Cliveden.”
Brooke commented: “For me Clivedon has always stood out as one of the great country houses in the UK, both in terms of its architecture and rich history, and also its stunning grounds and sheer beauty. Now, with the recent renovations nearly completed, we have a wonderful opportunity to further elevate the guest experience and fulfil Cliveden's enormous potential.”
