McAvoy targets growth in Oxford with new appointment and investment in fleet
Construction firm The McAvoy Group has expanded its team and channeled a large investment into its fleet as part of an ambitious growth strategy for its Oxford-headquartered modular hire business.
Vaughan Lingwood joins the business as regional head of modular hire and sales and will spearhead the growth of McAvoy’s hire division.
McAvoy is best known for its offsite construction projects but also operates a successful hire division, supplying temporary modular buildings for both commercial and public sector projects across a range of sectors, from manufacturing and pharmaceuticals through to hospitals and schools.
Lingwood brings many years’ experience to his new role, having spent most of his career within the modular industry. He will continue to build the business’ customer base across the South of England.
Lingwood said: “McAvoy are really well-known for their innovative offsite projects – from hospitals and schools through to large office schemes – but their modular hire arm is less established. There is significant investment being channeled into the hire business with a brand-new fleet, so it’s a really exciting time to be joining the business.”
McAvoy CEO, Mark Lowry, added: “Vaughan has a great deal of experience within the modular industry, so it’s fantastic to have him on board to spearhead the growth of our hire business. We have an ambitious expansion strategy in place for our hire division and I’ve no doubt Vaughan will be a real asset.”
