South East finalists for EY Entrepreneur of the Year revealed
EY Entrepreneur of the Year, a global programme recognising entrepreneurial achievement among both individuals and companies, is making its return for 2024.
Hosted by ‘big four’ accountancy firm EY, the awards are handed out across four regions of the UK – Midlands & South West, North, Scotland, and London & South East.
Among the leaders up for the title this year are Daniel Geoghegan of Bicester Motion, home to many of Oxfordshire’s future mobility innovators, and Bashir Parkar of BAP Pharma, a Berkshire-based supplier for clinical trials.
There’s also Sally Alington of Ethos Farm, a customer experience and employee consultancy in Surrey; Richard Steer of Steer Automotive Group in Berkshire; and a combined entry from Jon Lane and Justin Stone of Hampshire outdoor brand Passenger Clothing.
To be eligible, a business must be based or have its chief operations in the UK, and have been incorporated for two years as of 1 January 2024.
The entrepreneur chosen for the title must demonstrate vision, leadership and success. They should be responsible for their company’s success, have a substantial personal financial stake in the company, and have been in post for a minimum of two years.
National finalists are announced in September and the winners at a special dinner the following month.
