Transatlantic law firm Womble Bond Dickinson (WBD) has advised its Reading-based client Invenio Business Solutions, a global provider of Systems Applications and Products (SAP) enterprise solutions for both the public and private sectors, on its recent merger with US-based LSI Consulting.

Ian Holden, based in Southampton, partner at Womble Bond Dickinson

The Invenio and LSI merger brings together two well-established, high-growth SAP implementation and consultancy partners, forming a premier global SAP partner for the public and private sectors. The new entity will deliver significant benefits to existing customers and drive growth globally thanks to Invenio's strong presence in Europe, the Middle East and Asia Pacific and LSI's footprint in both the United States and Canada.

A transatlantic WBD team advised Invenio on the transaction, led on the UK side by partners Ian Holden, based in Southampton, and Philip Withey and on the US side by Boston-based Caitlin E. MacDowell and Rachel Rivkind. The firm provided key corporate and banking expertise on the matter.

Holden commented: "We're thrilled to have advised Invenio on this exciting merger with LSI, which will enhance its offering in North America and provide its customers with expanded end-to-end business solutions to help them maximise the value of their digital transformation. It has been a pleasure working with our Boston colleagues on this latest UK/US transaction, once again highlighting the enormous benefits that our 'transatlantic law firm close to home' approach brings to our local clients."

Arun Bala group CEO of Invenio commented: “We’re delighted to join forces with LSI, a well-respected SAP-based provider in public services with a track record of delivering success in the North American market. Our remarkable alignment in values and culture will help the combined organisation deliver even greater value to our customers, markets and employees. We're very grateful to the WBD team for their excellent legal advice. Being able to rely on a local team of South East-based lawyers, who have the ability to draw on US expertise, has been key for us."

Ranking in the UK's top 20 law firms, WBD provides legal expertise from across seven offices in the UK and 19 offices in the US, using its local, national and international reach and expertise to benefit the UK's leading sectors, businesses, people and organisations. The firm has a large presence in the South East with offices in both London and Southampton.
