"We are extremely proud to have let further space to NMT Shipping and are heartened by the company’s increased commitment to our flagship harbourfront development; to Southampton, an important international shipping node; and to the United Kingdom during a period of upheaval in and rapid changes to global trade," said David Kershaw, group real estate director at RO Real Estate.
Southampton's Town Quay is an established commercial waterfront scheme, which includes offices, retail units and the passenger terminal for the Isle of Wight ferry.
Nearby is the headquarters of P&O Carnival, as well as offices of PwC and Lloyds Bank.
Other well-known occupiers on the wider estate include the NHS, Faststream Recruitment, and the Secretary of State for Levelling Up, Housing, and Communities.
RO Real Estate said 3 and 5 Waterside Place lie at Southampton’s harbour front and have excellent views of the Solent. They are adjacent to the A33, the main thoroughfare through the city, which provides road access to the M27 and the M3.
Founded in 1999, NMT Shipping is a leading global Roll on / Roll off (RoRo) shipping and logistics company headquartered in the Netherlands.
It has 30 of its own dedicated offices around the world and has representation in more than 50 countries.
