Blenheim Palace promote car share schemes

If the answer to any of these questions is yes than Blenheim Palace have an event for you.

Utilising the Hiyacar platform to facilitate the local sharing of cars and set up closed loops with friends, neighbours and family, Blenheim is hosting an open information evening at its Estate Office on Thursday, 19^th May.

The event, which runs from 5pm to 7pm, is being organised in association with Wake up to Woodstock, Sustainable Woodstock and Woodstock Town Council.

It will include practical demonstrations on how the new scheme works and explain the benefits of car sharing, including earning money by renting private vehicles.  Attendees will also be able to register on the night, with the added incentive that anyone with a vehicle who signs up will receive a free Blenheim Palace Annual Pass.

One of Blenheim’s targets is to provide a travel network that will enable 50% of visitors to arrive by public transport and other green links. An extension of that is to support and enable local communities to become less reliant on the car. 

As part of its ten goals, Blenheim is committed to addressing the climate emergency by setting the goal to be carbon neutral by 2027, and to sequester over 200,000 tonnes of CO2e by 2050.
