Karen Holmes, finance and admin manager at Basingstoke Gymnastics Club, said: "When I had the email to say we had been chosen to receive the donation, it was received very gratefully and was also a great surprise.

"Being a charity, any donations we receive mean so much to us as we can keep the club safe and exciting for our customers."

The club offers a variety of fun and inclusive classes to cater for all ages, needs and abilities

It offers a range of apparatus, including a huge soft floor area, an aerobic sprung floor, three tracks, asymmetric, parallel and high bars, rings, a vault area, two sunken trampolines with a large pit area.

Campbell Gregg, managing director at David Wilson Homes Southern, noted: "We’re thrilled to offer our support to Basingstoke Gymnastic Club as it continues to be such a valuable amenity for the local community.

"Our Community Fund scheme is designed to help the fantastic charities and organisations in the areas we build, and we hope our donation will help to inspire the current and future generations of gymnastics."
