Five ways to win the Equality, Inclusivity and Diversity Initiative Award

Nominations for the Hampshire Business Awards are still open and we’re on the hunt for someone to take home one of the most important awards at this year’s event.

Sponsored by Milestone Infrastructure, the Equality, Inclusivity and Diversity Initiative Award will be presented to a business that has implemented exceptional initiatives to promote and foster equality, inclusivity, and diversity within their organization and the wider community.

There’s no doubt that this category will see some close competition as every big business in the region and beyond is striving to implement initiatives that promote greater equality.

The winner of this category will be cemented as a champion of inclusivity and become renowned for employee satisfaction – a fact to be shared throughout Hampshire and on our nation-wide website.

So what can you do to have a greater chance of bagging this coveted accolade? We’ve put together a list of five things that you can focus on to be named a winner at the Hampshire Business Awards with your initiatives:

Create meaningful change – your work will always have the greatest payoff when you genuinely care about it. Your initiative should be designed to drive changes that are meaningful to you, transforming your workplace into the ideal space for your employees.

Ensure your employees feel valued and respected – it’s vital that your initiatives are implemented in an effective, sensitive and lasting way that allows your employees to feel positively about the work they’re doing. Our judges will be looking for nominees that have demonstrated a commitment to creating a culture of equality and respect.

Collaborate with your stakeholders and partners – your initiatives should have an impact on every level of your business; cooperating with your stakeholders and partners to ensure that their effects are spread far and enforced confidently is a significant factor in their overall success.

Demonstrate a long-term commitment – we're not just looking for a nominee who can come up with good ideas – we're on the hunt for someone who can design an impressive initiative and enact it in a way that is realistic and likely to bring about long-lasting change. A programme’s longevity will be just as crucial as its effectiveness when this category is judged.

Enter the Hampshire Business Awards – when the event takes place at the Farnborough International Exhibition & Conference Centre on November 30th, the room will be packed out with all the top names from every sector of business in Hampshire. This is an unmissable opportunity to be defined as the best-of-the-best in front of the region’s best innovators, entrepreneurs, educators, investors, dealmakers, officials, CEOs and more.

Do you think that you’ve got what it takes to bring home the trophy?

Then submit your nominations now – entering the awards online is quick, easy and absolutely free.

There’s nothing to lose and everything to gain when you enter for your chance to be crowned a winner at the Hampshire Business Awards 2023.

Thank you again to Milestone Infrastructure for sponsoring the Equality, Inclusivity and Diversity Initiative Award.
