GLi, which invests in assets in strategic locations across Greater London, has acquired the former Jewson builder’s merchants on Goat road in Mitcham, southwest London, which, it says, will expand its planned urban logistics hub there.
The 1.34 acre former Jewsons site includes a 10,227 sq ft warehouse and will form part of GLi’s Mitcham Park development, increasing the site area to around 15 acres.

GLi is a partnership between London-based asset manager and developer KSP and global real asset investment manager PATRIZIA.
Will Ikin, investment director for GLi, said: "This location complements our Mitcham Park development and reinforces our dedication to providing best-in-class, sustainable logistics solutions in key urban areas.
"We look forward to integrating this site into Mitcham offering and contributing to the economic vitality of the South London region."
Mark Krol, director of fund management at PATRIZIA, added: "We are pleased to secure this strategic new site for our GLi platform and drive the growth of our urban logistics footprint across London.
"While the market remains challenging, we are continuing to deploy capital into highly selective opportunities for our flagship value-add industrials programme to unlock long-term value for our clients. Mitcham Park is seeking planning permission for a construction start in Q1 2025."
GLi’s first urban logistics scheme in Mitcham is poised to deliver 320000 sq ft of ultra-sustainable warehousing with a range of flexible unit sizes ranging from 10,000 sq ft to 120,000 sq ft.
Mitcham lies 7.2 miles (11.6 km) southwest of Charing Cross.
