Three ways to become the Tech SME of the Year

A healthy tech ecosystem consists of businesses of all sizes from well-established names and tech giants to startups and SMEs.

The world of SMEs is one of the most exciting parts of any industry – fresh organisations bring inspiration and new ideas that drive forward the field of technology.

At the South Coast Tech & Innovation Awards 2024, we’re looking for one particularly impressive SME to take home a trophy. Sponsored by James Cowper Kreston, the Tech SME of the Year will be presented to the nominee who stands out most from the crowd.

Companies with an annual turnover of up to £15 million and that have been trading for a minimum of two years are eligible for this award.

But with so many SMEs operating within the South Coast region’s tech sector, how can you have the best chance of earning the title of Tech SME of the Year? Here are three approaches you should consider:

Show off your innovations

The easiest way to catch the attention of our independent judges is to rave about your own products or services and how they’re unique compared to what we currently see in the South Coast. If you’re proud of your product, spare no detail when describing it on your nomination form.

Use your tech to transform the world of business

Though there can only be one winner in this category, collaboration is the name of the game. We’re looking to shine the spotlight on one nominee who is making a real positive impact on the region and the other businesses who exist within it – be sure to highlight how your business has affected others around you.

Forge new paths

The tech sector can often be saturated with companies offering similar solutions to solve similar problems. Our independent judges are looking for someone who is making waves in the market with their inspired tech and who is utilising new approaches to perhaps previously untapped issues.

So, do you think you’ve got what it takes to be named Tech SME of the Year at the South Coast Tech & Innovation Awards 2024

Nominations for this event are still open for a very limited time – head over to the event page now and enter for your chance to be crowned a winner at the South Coast region’s tech event of the Year!
