Three companies have their heads in the Cloud after winning industry awards
Halesowen-based EBC Group and Reading-bases businesses Datacore and Exagrid, are celebrating winning at the national SDC (Storage, Digitalisation & Cloud) awards.
Now in their tenth year, The SDC Awards (previously known as the Angel Business Communications’ IT awards) recognise  success in the products and services that are the foundation for digital transformation.
EBC Group won ‘Cloud Project of the Year’. The award for Cloud Project of the Year celebrates the partnership between Managed Service Provider, EBC Group and Solicitors Talbots Law, following a £1 million investment in a new state-of-the-art IT infrastructure.
Talbots Law, which employs more than 200 people at six offices across the Midlands, worked with EBC Group to install a new private cloud accessed Virtual Desk Interface (VDI) to deliver customer service improvements.
Managing Director of EBC Group, Richard Lane, said: ‘‘We are absolutely thrilled that our project with Talbots Law has been recognised on a national level. EBC Group continues to push forward and invest in cloud technology, with our new data centre, allowing us to provide the very best of private, shared or hybrid cloud solutions.’
EBC Group celebrated its 30th year in business last year.
ExaGrid’s EX Series backup storage appliances with data deduplication won the Backup Storage Innovation of the Year based on both customer and reseller vote and Datacore won Storage Management Innovation of the Year.Â
