CloudKubed has moved into a larger office space at Witney Business & Innovation Centre (BIC) in Oxfordshire to accommodate its rapidly growing team.

The team was joined by the Mayor of Witney, Owen Collins, who was invited along to celebrate and officially open the new space.

A tech for good company providing cloud and digital services, CloudKubed has more than quadrupled in size over the last two years.

The business now plans to expand into the global market with the opening of offices in London and Leeds.

Martin Sharkey, founder and CEO, said: “It’s been an amazing journey so far.

“Our success is testament to the people we have working inside the business and the flexibility of Witney BIC who have always offered us so much in terms of support, community spirit and a sense of belonging.

“In the early days we didn’t need physical office space, but what was missing was a culture.

“The only way to achieve that is to physically be together, and Witney BIC offered a certain energy that enabled us to foster this.

“They’ve always made the space work for us, rather than us having to work around the space and our new, much larger office space is exactly what we needed to expand our impact.

“From day one, it’s been in our strategy to establish a technology hub here in Oxfordshire, and so it’s exciting to make this an achievable goal and provide wider opportunities for the local community.”

From its base in Oxfordshire, CloudKubed works with organisations across healthcare, central government, research and beyond.

Amy Waller, centre manager for Witney BIC, added: “I’m delighted that Witney BIC has been part of CloudKubed’s incredible journey.

“Our fully serviced office spaces are designed to be incubators for small to medium companies, to help accelerate their growth and provide opportunities for networking.

“In just a few years, CloudKubed have progressed from solely renting meeting rooms, to taking on a small office space, to now occupying a large area of the building with their own meeting rooms, office spaces and kitchen.

“It’s a great achievement and I hope their success inspires other businesses who are starting out with us.”

Mayor Owen Collins added: “It’s an amazing trajectory.

“Quite often when businesses grow that quickly, one thing that’s sacrificed in the chase for growth is the small community focus – but CloudKubed have embedded that in their culture.

“It’s unique and is a testament to how this company is run and envisaged. To see this happening in our community in Witney is an absolute delight.”
