Surrey biotech Proteome Sciences wins £500k contract
Proteome Sciences has secured a contract worth more than £500,000 with a US biopharmaceutical company.
The Guildford firm is set to provide mass spectrometry services for the analysis of samples in an ongoing clinical trial.
It expects a ‘good proportion’ of the work to be completed in the current financial year.
Richard Dennis, chief commercial officer at Proteome Sciences, said: “We’ve experienced good customer interest in our services in the first quarter, reflected by the considerable increase in customer contact and quotations across a broad range of projects.
“In this contract, the client selected our targeted assay workflows with GCLP compliance as a quality standard specifically to monitor the performance of their investigational drug in their clinical trial.
“We expect the increased levels of interest in our services activities to continue through 2024 and look forward to further clinical trial projects.”
The win follows the opening this January of Proteome’s new stateside lab in San Diego.
