Southampton Science Park to host Women Entrepreneurs’ Workout this March

With International Women’s Day just a month away, Southampton Science Park has teamed up with business incubator SETsquared to launch a Women Entrepreneurs’ Workout.

The two-day workshop-led event takes place at the park on 6th and 7th March – just before IWD 2024 – and is particularly geared towards female founders of digital, technology and science-based ventures.

Participants will work within a small group of likeminded women and under the supervision of expert mentors to build the foundations of a successful business.

It’s hoped that the event helps boost confidence in the value of women in STEM and entrepreneurial environments.

After all, it’s estimated that the UK economy would grow by £250 billion if as many women founded their own businesses as men, while the Investing in Women Code (a commitment from financial firms to support female entrepreneurship) accounts for 39 per cent of UK venture and growth equity deals in the SME lending market.

Applications for the Women Entrepreneurs’ Workout close on 28th February. To get involved, visit setsquared.co.uk/programme/womens-entrepreneurs-workout
