The Solent's tech successes have lacked exposure in recent years; but no more. The launch of the South Coast Tech Awards shines a spotlight on this growing sector.
With Southampton now being named number three in the top performing cities in the UK index, compiled by PwC. And the city being named 'Britain's next big tech city' in recent press coverage has increased the focus on technology in the Solent region.
The inaugural South Coast Tech Awards takes place at Hilton at the Ageas Bowl, Southampton, on December 5. Finalists range from NetPay Solutions to Silver Lining Convergence, and from Cobweb Solutions to Benefex.
Staged by The Business Magazine, and with headline sponsorship from Aura, the awards are sponsored by Onecom, Wilkins Kennedy, Irwin Mitchell, BDB Pitmans, Sanderson, Smith & Williamson, and Southampton Science Park. Marketing partner is Carswell Gould.
The event will not only be a key networking opportunity, it will be a chance to hear from guest speaker Spencer Kelly, from BBC's Click technology show.
