South East firms attend Space Propulsion Conference
A number of Hampshire aerospace companies are showcasing their work and expertise at the Space Propulsion Conference, Estoril, Portugal this week.
In addition to the UK Space Agency and Airborne Engineering, specialist ammunition firm, Nammo, who have a hub in Cheltenham, Protolaunch, who devise chemical propulsion systems and Ura thrusters who devise water propulsion techniques are all attending the eighth edition of the conference.
The aerospace companies are all members of the private sector Westcott Space Cluster.
During this edition, the International conference will focus on 'Space As a Service; for new applications.
The conference provides a forum to examine and support the preparation of future activities in all fields of space propulsion.
According to organisers, more than 700 professionals from over 30 countries are expected to attend including, engineers and scientists from government, university and industry.
The conference runs until May 13.
