Rochester-based IT firm Allteks has acquired Maidstone-based Absols as part of its growth and expansion plans.

The acquisition, which was agreed in February and officially came into place on 26 April, will see both firms strengthen their offering.

Absols will still trade under the same name as normal, with its director, Ian Wilkinson, standing down from his current role, but remaining in the company as an adviser to help it to continue and uphold its current standard of service delivery.

The move is part of Alltek’s long-term growth and expansion strategy, which CEO Don Iro hopes will see more acquisitions and mergers in the future. The aim is to expand the firm’s reach across the South East, providing more IT services to more businesses and organisations throughout London, Kent, Sussex, Hampshire and beyond.

Iro said: ‘Our ambition is to grow in the South East and Central regions and scale across the UK. We’re excited to be working with Absols and its current team to amplify our offering and deliver excellent service to both our clients.’

There will be no changes in offering from either company and their existing client bases will remain unaffected, although members of engineering staff will join the Allteks team from Absols who are able to deliver services that Allteks currently does not offer.

Allteks’ chairman, Toyin Aromire, said: ‘This is a move in the right direction for both businesses and, our esteemed customers; they will continue to receive best-in-class IT service and a delightful experience from the combined companies.

Allteks provides a comprehensive range of services and solutions, such as IT support, cloud solutions, digital transformation consulting, digital work services, cyber security, Allteks virtual office, backup and disaster recovery to businesses throughout Kent, as well as across the UK.

Absols’ managing director, Wilkinson said: ‘Having built up a loyal client base over 18 years, it is now time for me to move on to new challenges. Absols engineers will continue to provide excellent service and in tandem with Allteks offer them new services and solutions.’
