Village Hotel Club Portsmouth is set to welcome its first guests on November 6 following a £21 million investment. The hotel includes 153 rooms, smart technology, and a state-of-the-art gym facility.

The Club rooms are fitted with a virtual concierge, the Amazon Echo Dot, making Portsmouth the brand’s most high-tech offering yet and its 29th Village Hotel.

Every aspect of the guest experience, from entertainment to air conditioning, is integrated. Hotel guests can choose to check in via the Village Hotel app or online for their convenience, or else be greeted at the front desk.

Village Gym provides gym goers with the latest equipment from Technogym, a leader in providing innovative cardio and strength gym kit.

With more than 100 classes per week, Village Gym also offers a range of group fitness classes, such as BodyPump, BodyCombat, BodyAttack Mind and Bodym, Village’s HIIT class ‘Burn’, the ultimate calorie-burning session, and classes by Les Mills.

There is also a 20-metre swimming pool, steam room and sauna.

The Village Hotel sits on the edge of the largest business park in Portsmouth - Lakeside North Harbour is home to 100-plus companies with a combined workforce of 4,000 people.

The hotel's business club offers versatile meeting space, with free superfast wi-fi and parking.

Guests can order food and drinks from the all-day restaurant, Starbucks and from Village Pub, as well as book on-site meetings, events and seminars, all via the Village Hotel app.

The space is designed to be flexible, so can be used for anything from intimate meetings to large conferences.

Guests staying at the hotel can choose a high-spec standard room, or opt to upgrade to a club room, which includes free access to gym and the business club.

Pedro Mendes, general manager, said: "Our technology solutions, the most advanced for any new hotel in the South, are about enhancing the customer experience.

"We want to create a place where people want to come and spend the day whether it’s to dine out, stay, work out or play.

"The hotel will be a thriving hub, every day of the week, for local residents, gym members, the business community, holidaymakers with passengers using the city’s international ferry port, and guests for weddings, events and our popular live tribute acts."

Other Village Hotels in the South are located at Bournemouth, Farnborough and Maidstone; work has now begun on the group’s 30th property in Bristol.
