The Illuminet Group, a Poole-based provider of IT consultancy and business efficiency services, has announced the acquisition of Biomni.

Biomni creates virtual assistants and AI-driven solutions for business consumers and has developed and released two significant software products: Tenjin and JobR.

Tenjin is a conversational AI solutions which links users with knowledge, services and automation to increase both customer and employee experience by making it easier for digital workers to access the knowledge they need to do their job.

JobR, meanwhile, mitigates data loss risk by continually monitoring, remediating and reporting on users’ backup processes across multiple platforms and vendor environments through a single pane of glass.

The acquisition enhances Illuminet’s existing capability in automation, data and AI services and builds a platform for Biomni’s solutions to thrive and grow. This will ultimately see clients benefiting from a broader range of services and deeper expertise.

Greg Wood, Illuminet’s CEO, said: “I am delighted that we completed our acquisition of Biomni at the end of 2023.

“Biomni are an exceptionally innovative company and add significant capability to The Illuminet Group, opening up new markets and adding to the value we can bring for our existing clients.”

Biomni CEO Angus Gregory added: “Coming together with Illuminet enables us to continue our mission to develop Conversational-first and Knowledge-driven AI experiences that enable business growth.

“From the outset of our partnership with Illuminet, it was clear that our shared values and vision aligned, so this deal was the natural progression. We look forward to combining forces and continued success.”
