Oxfordshire-based nuclear fusion research firm Tokamak Energy has appointed Warrick Matthews as its new Managing Director and Chief Commercial Officer.

Warrick, who previously spent 24 years working for Rolls-Royce where he held a number of leadership positions including, most recently, Chief Procurement Officer.

Warrick will be charged with working towards Tokamak’s aim of demonstrating grid-ready fusion power by the early 2030s, tapping into his experience in global industrial partnerships and supply chain development.

Chris Martin, Tokamak Energy’s Chairman, said: “With his track record of success at Rolls-Royce, we are delighted to welcome Warrick to Tokamak Energy.
