Accountancy firm Shaw Gibbs, based in Oxford, has provided key corporate financial support to Wokingham-based Xeretec Group in its acquisition of Landscape Group.

Shaw Gibbs played a major role in financial due diligence reporting on the target business and provided continued advisory services throughout the transaction. It is the third major deal for Xeretec Group which Shaw Gibbs has supported. In 2014 the firm advised Xeretec Group on its acquisition of Bytes Document Solutions to create the largest Xerox reseller in Western Europe and in 2015 it provided advice on Xeretec Group’s acquisition of the managed print and printer supply parts business of First Choice Business Systems.

Daniel Hayes, Corporate Finance Executive at Shaw Gibbs, commented: “We are proud to be supporting Xeretec Group as it grows from strength to strength in its target markets. This deal with Landscape Group adds genuine value to the business and allows Xeretec Group to offer enhanced services to its clients.”

The latest move creates a new powerhouse for managed print services, bringing together two of the biggest resellers of the largest global print brands.

Acquiring Landscape Group enables Xeretec Group to offer new and existing customers the combined Group’s technical knowledge, toolsets, service capabilities and market expertise. It also makes Xeretec Group well positioned to effectively meet the changing print needs of a diverse range of customers across multiple industries; scaling from SME’s to corporates, whether UK based or located overseas.

Commenting on the acquisition, Steve Hawkins, Xeretec Group chief executive, said: “The game-changing acquisition of Landscape Group is a transformational moment for Xerox, HP, our customers and our staff. Xeretec Group will continue to honour its on-going commitment to the Xerox brand, building on its exceptional track record of success. This best-of-breed acquisition plays to the strengths of both respected brands and both resellers, while introducing new HP devices and value-added services like DaaS to even more customers. With the potential it offers customers and staff, we are thrilled to see the Landscape Group become a Xeretec Group company, and we warmly welcome its team to the existing Xeretec Group family.”
