Thursday 28th March - Life after Brexit: the challenges and opportunities facing the UK’s life sciences sector
Book your place to attend: This event hosted by Royds Withy King will look at how we can ensure that the UK remains one of the best places in the world to develop and launch innovative medicines, technology and diagnostics.
There is no doubt that the UK’s life sciences sector is exposed to Brexit. The close integration of the UK’s regulatory and research environment with the EU and the international nature of the sector means that separation is likely to be difficult and disruptive. However we believe that with the right strategy the sector, despite Brexit, can thrive:
Our event will look at the challenges facing the sector and discuss the opportunities to ensure that the UK is the best place in the world to develop and launch innovative medicines, technologies and diagnostics. We will be joined by guest speakers Professor Chas Bountra, Pro Vice Chancellor, Innovation, University of Oxford and Bill Haynes, Head of Site, Novo Nordisk Research Centre Oxford. There will then be a Q&A panel discussion chaired by Lord Wood of Anfield with panellists including Priya Mande, Chief Operating Officer from PsiOxus and Dr Gill Wells, Head of European & International Team, University of Oxford.
