Kymira Sport announced as official recovery partner of Reading Football Club

Kymira Sport, a leading producer of infrared performance and recovery garments has been announced as the official Recovery Partner to Reading Football Club.

In addition to Kymira’s presence in the NFL, NBA, Rugby World Cup and World Athletics, Kymira Sport will support the men’s and women’s Reading football teams by reducing injuries, accelerating recovery, and contributing to the overall wellness of Reading FC athletes.

Earlier this month, Kymira announced that it had secured £3.7M investment.

Kymira’s technology and product range will have an immediate impact on our men’s and women’s first team squads, with them working closely alongside our medical and sports science teams to assist in injury prevention and the overall wellbeing of our players."

Kymira Sport infrared embedded fabrics feature specially designed fibres that contain carefully selected minerals. These minerals are embedded into the fabrics to absorb otherwise wasted energy from the wearer and surrounding light. The energy is then converted into a targeted region of the infrared light spectrum, which causes an array of positive biological effects. KYMIRA Sport targets a specific area of infrared because of the very specific effects it has to aid, support and enhance human performance and recovery.

Founder of Kymira  Sport Tim Brownstone, who was named Scale-Up Entrepreneur of the year for the GBEA Southeast winner at the Great British Entrepreneur Awards just last week, said: “I am incredibly excited to be working with Reading FC, across both their Championship and WSL teams. It has been a partnership that I have wanted to form for the past 8 years and represents a significant milestone for us. As their Official Recovery supplier, we are hoping to help them reduce injury burden which will ultimately translate to results on the pitch.”
