A start up support programme run by Ordnance Survey and HM Land Registry has won a prestigious Go:Tech Award.

The Go:Tech Awards, which took place at Ashton Gate Stadium in Bristol, celebrate businesses and entrepreneurs who lead the way in technology and innovation across the UK. From CleanTech pioneers and tech start-ups to the advanced engineering giants, the awards showcase ground-breaking businesses of all sizes across the whole of the UK.

With a record number of entrants, Geovation’s popular Accelerator Programme beat off stiff competition to claim their award. The programme aims to propel start-ups to the next level, with the content tailored to suit each start-up and their individual founders.

Carly Morris, Head of Geovation, said: “We are delighted to have won the Incubator or Accelerator Programme Award at the fantastic Go:Tech Awards.

“We were up against some extremely tough competition, including PiLabs, Setsquared and Huckletree. This makes the award even more meaningful for us and is further proof that our programmes are market leading.

“We have supported over 130 location-data and PropTech start-ups through our Accelerator Programme and those start-ups have created 1,759 jobs and raised more than £115m. We are more determined than ever to support start-ups tackle challenges and find solutions to build a commercially, environmentally, and socially sustainable future for everyday citizens.

“So this is a great accolade to all of the hard work that goes into building and delivering Geovation and I’m incredibly proud of the Geovation team, today and every day!”
