Future of Work summit will hear how Southampton can grasp digital opportunities
Southampton needs to be ‘future ready’ if it is to flourish in a world defined by increased digitisation and the race to Net Zero.
That is the core theme behind the inaugural Future of Work Summit on January 31, being organised by Southampton City Council.
Leader of Southampton City Council, Councillor Satvir Kaur, said: "Across the Southampton area, there is a growing movement of innovators, entrepreneurs, businesses, academics, and organisations who are responding to a complex economic landscape – here and abroad.
“As a council, we need to facilitate the right conditions to empower our businesses and residents to thrive in this evolving world; to grasp the opportunities and adapt to changing circumstances.

“Everything from our Local Plan, the set-up of the Solent Freeport to becoming a destination and Green City, there are significant economic opportunities ahead for Southampton and the wider area.
“Crucially, local growth must be felt by local people, delivering positive outcomes for our residents and environment.”
The Future of Work Summit will include inspirational talks, interactive panel discussions, and sprint sessions; headlined by Andrew Carter, Chief Executive of the Centre for Cities. He will be focusing on the factors that will help shape Southampton’s economic future.
There are a limited number of tickets left for the event, which is taking place at MAST Mayflower Studios, or you can join online for the livestream. To register, visit this link: Future of Work Summit | Mayflower Studios
