Flitetec poised for lift-off with new French distribution facility
Flitetec, the Buckinghamshire-based aircraft interior product company, is set for lift-off, as it announced the opening of a new distribution centre in France.
The Amersham-headquartered firm has invested a six-figure sum in the facility at Mont-de-Marsan in the Aerospace Valley region between Bordeaux and Toulouse, to help meet rising demand, move closer to its supply chain, and break into new markets.

"These are exciting times for Flitetec," said managing director Trevor Lea.
"The business has undergone a major transformation and investment programme over the past five years, including significant growth of our distribution business, to which we pivoted during the pandemic."
Commercial director Chris Osborne, who will lead the new operation starting this month, added: "We have a strong supply chain in France where we support tier 1 and tier 2 subcontractors to primes in the aerospace market, such as Airbus and Safran.
"Our new premises represent a vote of confidence in France and Europe as well as our company and its people. It will allow us to get closer to our supply chain, customers and potential new customers.
"We aim to expand further in France and can’t wait to get started in the new premises," he said.
The firm's new French facility includes offices, meeting rooms and warehousing and features a locally well-known landmark bridge.
Flitetec has seen major growth in its distribution arm, which was launched during the pandemic, and recorded significant growth in the last three years.
The company, founded in 1985, is a supply chain services partner for aerospace and defence markets worldwide. It designs and manufactures new and repaired and overhauled aircraft interior products and is also a stocking distributor.
The company is set to attend major airshows this year, including the Aircraft Interiors Expo in Hamburg in May, the Farnborough International Air Show in the UK in July and MRO Europe in Barcelona in October.
