A team of entrepreneurs is shaking up the world of cryptocurrencies by launching a simple trading platform – so everyone can get a piece of the action.

Elepig is designed to be a user-friendly platform that allows anyone to buy and sell digital coins with even a modest investment and limited knowledge.

Bitcoin is the most well-known cryptocurrency but there are nearly 2,000 of them and trading can bring huge returns.

In 2011 a single bitcoin was worth $1, but since then it has reached a value of $15,000 and now is worth around $10,000.

Crypto-trading can often be considered too complicated for the uninitiated to partake – a problem that Elepig aims to solve.

Digital doyens Carl Selby and Mark Williams, based in Bournemouth, Dorset, have simplified the subject in such a way that makes it accessible to all.

Selby said: “In 10 years’ time everyone will be using cryptocurrencies and we want to speed up that level of understanding. Crypto could be seen complicated and overwhelming, so we wanted to create a platform that is safe, secure, simple and utterly trustworthy.

“Elepig – a term combining ‘elephant’ and ‘pig’, which in feng shui represent prosperity, trust and hard work – is designed to be different from other platforms.

“We have built the exchange from the point of view of the user and it is ideal for the new cyber-savvy generation for whom online transactions are more common that traditional ones.

“It is an exciting industry and the markets are volatile; most people invest modest amounts and buy and sell according to how the currencies are performing – trends they can view on Elepig’s website.

“People are now able to trade on the go right from the palm of their hand - and we want Elepig to become the market leader as crypto-trading becomes more common.

“Our platform is perfectly safe, secure and trusted. Like any other type of exchange, there are a variety of factors that influence the value of what is being traded.

“Traders can try and predict movements and trends, but also watch performances to know when to buy and sell.

“With Elepig, anyone will be able to set up an account, buy some currency and start trading - the crypto-revolution is now not restricted to those with a digital background.”
