After the successful launch of its content-driven division, Remarkable Content, marketing communications agency Remarkable Group has announced the appointment of Rhiannon Thompson as head of new business for the Content team.
Thompson spent two and a half years as account director in Remarkable’s PR division, before leaving to head the communications team at the Consumer Finance Association (CFA).
Her return to Remarkable marks a new chapter for the 65-strong, Winchester-based agency as it widens its reach with offices in Manchester and London, as well as a soon-to-open Bristol location.
Charged with driving new business within Remarkable Content, Thompson’s appointment has been swiftly followed by several new client wins, including MDL Marinas, Bristol Laboratories and Wessex Cancer Trust.
Executive director Julius Duncan said: “We are delighted to welcome Rhiannon back to the team. The launch of Content has generated a new wave of interest in the Group’s offering and Rhiannon’s knowledge of the company combined with her far-reaching communications experience ensures a clear focus and understanding of what we strive to achieve for our clients: content that demands to be shared.”
Rhiannon said: “What drew me back to Remarkable Group was Remarkable Content’s fresh approach to story-telling and the team’s blend of skills and knowledge which has created a progressive and exciting proposition.
“Content-driven marketing communications, focused on the audience and providing valuable, compelling information in the right place at the right time is absolutely vital for businesses to cut through the informational clutter and stand out.
“It is clear from the conversations I am already having with prospects that the demand for such communications support is on the increase, as companies seek to feed their own media channels, wider social media networks, and influencers with imaginative content that secures the loyalty of their audience and ultimately drives sales.”
