Thames Valley Berkshire Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) has announced the appointment of Frances Campbell as projects manager and graduate intern, Ryan Maslin as project co-ordinator. The appointments build on the LEP’s capacity to develop a Strategic Plan for the Thames Valley Berkshire sub region.

With 15 years of experience in project management in both the private and public sectors, Campbell brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the role. Most recently she co-ordinated a series of projects at the University for the Creative Arts, Farnham designed to stimulate regional economic growth by delivering training and support to creative SMEs to grow their businesses and employability and business start-up advice to graduates.

Campbell will be responsible in co-ordinating the delivery of the LEP’s projects on education, employment & skills and strategic infrastructure and ensuring that the LEP’s activities are supported by economic data. In addition, she will work alongside the newly appointed project co-ordinator and contribute to the production of the Strategic Plan, a key tenet of Government’s response to Lord Heseltine’s report on economic growth ‘No Stone Unturned’.

Ryan Maslin will work with Thames Valley Berkshire LEP over the summer and prepare a base document in order to produce the Strategic Plan. A graduate of the University of Reading in Management and Business Administration, Maslin's role will be research and analyse the existing core elements of a Strategic Plan for Thames Valley Berkshire.

Tim Smith, business director for Thames Valley Berkshire LEP, said: "We are delighted to add another two experienced people to our growing team. The strength of the team demonstrates the LEP’s commitment to ensure that our local economy prospers through new projects, developments and jobs. Our new appointments will help shape and direct the organisation’s growth plans and we look forward to benefiting from the insight and experience that they will bring to the LEP.”
