First its creditors approved of its rescue plan, then a few days later the shareholders did too. Now Superdry has said that its restructuring plan has been sanctioned by the Court.
Superdry's restructuring plan received the support of 99 per cent of creditors which attended and voted at the Plan Meetings held on 10 June 2024.
The sanction of the restructuring plan by the Court will enable the group to implement measures needed to secure its long-term future and return to profitability.
Peter Sjӧlander, Superdry Chairman, said: “This is an important moment for Superdry. My thanks and those of the entire Board go to the shareholders and creditors of Superdry who have supported the proposals, which will enable the business to go forward with the right structure, balance sheet and cost base to deliver its turnaround and future growth.”
In other news, Dafydd Moore has left Redditch-based Halfords to join Superdry as its Director of Global Technology. He will report to co-founder and CEO of Superdry, Julian Dunkerton
This follows the departure last week of the company's chief commercial officer Craig McGregor, after four years in the role.
In a LinkedIn post, Dafydd said: "This is a brand and company that I have been a fan of for many years, to be joining it at this pivotal time is really exciting."
