HR software pioneer Fairsail today announced the appointment of a new CFO as part of a large recruitment drive. Nick Harber will join the Reading-based technology company, bringing with him expertise from a successful seventeen years in the accounting industry.

With a background in corporate finance, successfully advising growing companies on business planning, fund raising and financial modelling, Harber was attracted by the company's exciting growth prospects. He will be applying his expertise to help develop the business strategy for Fairsail, enhance the quality of information provided to investors, and ensure that the business can achieve its growth potential without hitting any internal bottlenecks.

Harber also brings with him a strong passion for technology, his first job after graduation being a sales role for Osborne Computers. Throughout his career to date, he has worked with many technology businesses as corporate finance clients, through a mentoring role with the SETsquared incubator in Bristol and as group financial controller at ingenta.com.

Harber commented: “I am incredibly excited to be joining the Fairsail team. Having advised several clients regarding their growth strategies, working on the other side as a CFO presents a new challenge. Fairsail stood out as a leader in HR software and workforce collaboration and with such a strong group of people driving the business forward, I can’t wait to be a part of its future success.”

Nic Scott, CEO at Fairsail, added: “This year has been incredibly successful for us. We have seen over 250% boost in sales which is why we are now focusing on increasing our workforce by 100%. We plan to focus on sales, implementation and training roles to support the customers gained in recent months. We are very pleased to have Nick come on board, particularly at such a great time in terms of company growth. With his experience, I’m confident he will help us to continue to lead the way in Global Workforce Collaboration.”
