Reading: Boyes Turner hires construction litigator
Boyes Turner has significantly boosted its construction practice with the hire of senior construction lawyer John Starr from Denton Wilde Sapte. He will head up and develop the firm's growing contentious and non-contentious construction practice.
Well established and with over 19 years of litigation experience Starr's pedigree includes Shoosmiths and Mundays. Having specialised in construction and engineering disputes for the past 13 years of his career, he is particularly experienced in arbitration, adjudication and mediation. He has advised a raft of blue chip companies, household names and banks.
Commenting on the move, Starr said: "Boyes Turner is an ambitious and forward thinking firm that is committed to growing its construction practice. I'm looking forward to working with their first-rate property and commercial litigation groups in developing a market leading team."
Boyes Turner's chief executive Andrew Chalkley added: "Over the past few years we have seen a notable rise in contentious construction work and have been actively looking to recruit a high calibre, experienced and driven individual to lead the team and help it achieve its full potential. John is a great fit for the firm and we are delighted to have him on board."
