National facilities and property management company Fasset has welcomed environmental specialist Laura Emeana to its team based at Langstone Technology Park.
This is a new role in the company, focusing on maintaining the systems structures and procedures introduced by Fasset at Langstone to minimise the environmental impact of the park.
Emeana, who will be reporting to business excellence manager Shirley Cuthbertson, will work towards retaining the internationally-recognised BSI Environmental Management Certification ISO 14001 that the park has held since 2007, as well as further standards such as ISO 9001. She will also be responsible for reporting recycling and environmental statistics, leading green initiatives for business and tenants based at Langstone, and making recommendations for additional environmental services.
Commenting on her appointment Emeana said: “This is an exciting opportunity to work with a company that understands what is required from an environmental perspective and is prepared to invest the time and resources to achieve the right results.”
Cuthbertson commented: “Laura is an ideal candidate as she has a wealth of experience in environmental systems and procedures as well as hands on initiatives with proven results. Fasset has already invested heavily in implementing and maintaining environmental management at Langstone so moving this onto the next step is very exciting.”
