BGF strengthens Reading's investment team with new appointment
Growth capital investor BGF has strengthened its team in Reading, Berkshire with the appointment of accountant Harry Kernick.
Kernick, who has a particular focus on the technology, media and telecom (TMT) industry, will be responsible for all aspects of the investment process, including identifying and assessing opportunities, managing transactions and supporting existing portfolio companies.

He joins BGF from PwC in Reading where he was a senior associate in the mergers and acquisitions (M&A) financial due diligence team.
"Harry is an excellent addition to the investment team as we look to partner with even more ambitious founders and management teams across the region," said Ned Dorbin, head of BGF’s investment team in Reading.
"Harry brings valuable deal experience across a variety of sectors, with particular expertise in the TMT sector, which will add real value to our offering."

BGF was established in 2011 and has invested £3.5 billion in over 500 companies, including £260 million across the Thames Valley and Solent regions. It is described as the largest and most experienced investor in the UK and Ireland.
