BGF announces strong year in London and the South East
Growth capital investor BGF has announced a successful year in London and the South East.
The firm exited 13 companies and invested over £130 million in the region, passing the £1 billion investment mark and backing over 180 companies since its inception.
Notable exits in 2022 include LoopMe, Virtual1, and Furniture Village, while investments included Harnham, BBC Maestro, Alpha Development, and AruVR.
BGF also continued its commitment to empowering female-led businesses with investments in Makers Academy and Media Zoo.

It was also a year which saw it strengthening its investment team in the region with several key appointments, including Sonia Powar, who is now leading BGF’s healthcare investment in the region, Matthew Connor joined the firm from Calculus Capital while Karolina Sokolowska joined from Lincoln International.
Marta Lozano joined BGF’s early stage team, while Dylan Kaye was appointed to its direct origination team, joining from Holihan Lokey.
