Growth capital investor Business Growth Fund (BGF) has appointed a new investor to its Reading office.
Cat Dilloway, a private equity professional specialising in growth capital investment, joins BGF from Malvern Capital, where she spent more than two years. She also spent time at Innovate UK and Investec, having read History and Politics at Oxford University.
Cat Dilloway said: “I am thrilled to have joined the Thames Valley and Solent team at BGF and look forward to bringing my experience in the field of fast growth tech-enabled businesses to bear in a region that is brimming with ambitious management teams that are looking to scale.”

At BGF, Cat will be charged with deal origination and execution across the Thames Valley and Solent region along with portfolio management. The latter will see Cat holding a number of ‘board observer positions’ to provide support and advice to investees.
Ned Dorbin, head of BGF in the Thames Valley and South West, said: “Cat is a superb addition to our high-performing team. With her experience and passion for investing in innovative British businesses across a range of fast growth sectors, we are primed to bring in even more investment into ambitious companies that are driving the local economy forwards.”
Cat’s appointment is the latest enhancement to BGF’s presence in Reading, having recently completed an £8 million investment in Reading-based counter drone technologies business Operational Solutions.
In nearby Oxford, the firm recently successfully exited OnePLM, an Oxfordshire value-added reseller (VAR) of Siemens CAD/CAM and Product Lifecyle Management (PLM) software.
