Mainstay Residential, part of Worcester-based property management company Mainstay Group, has been appointed to manage the Kenilworth Court development in Edgbaston, further expanding its integrated property management (IPM) portfolio and building on a period of sustained growth.

The residential property management arm of multi-award-winning Mainstay Group will be responsible for property and facilities management at the site.

The Kenilworth Court development is situated on the Calthorpe Estate in Edgbaston where local amenities include Birmingham’s Botanical Gardens and the Edgbaston Village.

Gillian Stanley, area property manager at Mainstay, said: “We are truly excited to be working on such a stunning development packed with history in such a beautiful suburb. We have an incredibly strong team based in the Midlands and I am confident that our unique approach will resonate with Kenilworth Court’s residents.”

The scheme, which was constructed in the 1930’s, is made up of 52 apartments in five blocks. The existing managing agents were struggling with some of the development’s challenges and a larger, more robust agent was required. Mainstay was a natural choice as it has an excellent local reputation and already manages a number of Calthorpe Estate properties.

Lenora Darlison from Kenilworth Court RTM Companies said: “We are in the crucial stages of upgrading and restoring our historically beautiful, prestigious property, and are very fortunate to have Mainstay help us through this complex but exciting process.  Considering their vast knowledge and experience in the management of property, we believe that Mainstay will help us bring about the restoration of our wonderful property.”

Founded in 1999, the Mainstay Group has more than 45,000 properties in asset management an 40,000 homes in leasehold management. It employs 730 staff across the UK.
