Winchester: Tithegrove expands into Hampshire and promises now jobs
Tithegrove, the groundworks contractor, is expanding into Hampshire. It is launching a major recruitment drive in the county with promises of scores of new jobs after setting up new offices in Winchester.
The firm was founded in Swindon in 1984 and has built up a strong reputation across Wiltshire and Somerset, working with a range of housebuilders, including Taylor Wimpey, Persimmon Homes and Linden Homes. It delivers groundworks and landscaping on major housebuilding projects and it is currently working on a major housebuilding scheme in Basingstoke. It is now looking to recruit from the Southampton, Winchester, Basingstoke and Portsmouth communities as it expands further.
Greg Tucker, regional director of Tithegrove, said: ““We see Hampshire as our next big opportunity. The housebuilding sector is enjoying a boom in Hampshire with several high-profile construction projects and many smaller ones too. We want to be part of that. But we need the people on the ground to get the work done, so that’s why we have launched this big recruitment drive.”
Working with local colleges, Tithegrove already has apprenticeship schemes running in Swindon and Yeovil and is looking to launch a scheme in Winchester from September 2017.
