Hampshire County Council has launched a dedicated conference bureau for the county that will showcase the full range of conference, meeting, incentive travel and event facilities across Hampshire.

The Bureau offers a professional and cost-effective venue finding service for any business conference and is managed by the team behind Southampton’s successful conference bureau, Destination Southampton.

Shirley Pinn, Destination Southampton managing director, commented: “We are delighted to be working with Hampshire County Council and pleased to officially launch the bureau website and social media platforms. New venues are being added to the Hampshire Conference Bureau website daily and include some amazing and wonderful locations such at Spitbank Fort in the Solent, Avington Park in Winchester and the Anvil in Basingstoke.”

The county bureau website is now live marketing key towns and cities online.

The Bureau promotes areas such as Southampton, Portsmouth, Basingstoke, Winchester, New Forest, Andover and Farnborough which all offer an abundance of inspiring and exclusive venues and have excellent international and domestic transport links, particularly to the key London market.

Hampshire County Council’s executive member for economy, transport and environment, councillor Seán Woodward, said: “We feel that Hampshire has great potential to benefit from more business conferences, meetings and events, particularly due to its strong transport links, and that the launch of the new Hampshire Conference Bureau, in partnership with Destination Southampton, will enable us to promote a wider range of our county’s venues to key national and international event planners and help grow our £3 billion tourism economy."
