Vail Williams makes six strategic promotions
Property consultancy Vail Williams has made six strategic promotions and new appointments to strengthen its team – including in the Thames Valley – to meet demand as business continues to grow across all sectors.
The end of financial year promotions come as the 170-strong, 50-partner, six-region firm remains ahead of target in its current growth blueprint.
The latest promotions – across the Thames Valley, West Midlands, Surrey and South Coast – include four to associate and two to surveyor level 3 grade.
Adam Barnfield and Brian Miklasz (both West Midlands region) and Alex Gauntlett and Jon Sharp (both South coast region) have all been named new associates, while Dan Reynaldo (Thames Valley region) and Andrew Soane (Surrey region) are promoted to surveyor level 3.
Chartered building surveyor Reynaldo joined Vail Williams in 2016 following previous work placements from the University of Reading and qualified as a surveyor in 2019. He specialises in advising occupiers, landlords and investors on their building consultancy needs including development and project monitoring and schedules of condition, dilapidations and the carrying out of pre-acquisition surveys.
Reynaldo said: "As a keen cricketer in my spare time, I like to think I approach all of my valued clients with a straight bat as I look to provide them with the best possible service. This promotion will certainly spur me."
Thames Valley regional managing partner David Thomas said: "This promotion is in recognition of Dan’s hard work and dedication and really growing within the team across all areas of building consultancy and he has developed a very rounded skill set. He is very much an all-rounder involved in all aspects: from dilapidation to bank monitoring as well as technical building consultancy. It is an absolutely well-deserved promotion."
Expanding Vail Williams has also appointed new members of staff to cope with growing business demands. This includes lease advisory expert Matt Doe who has joined the Thames Valley region lease advisory team as associate from Smith Price RRG, where he spent seven years specialising in lease advisory work for owners and occupiers of retail property across the UK, including BMO Real Estate, Threadneedle, London & Scottish Investments, Glenstone Property and Freshwater. In his role at Vail Williams, he is responsible for helping landlord clients to maximise their rental income, while supporting occupier clients in mitigating their occupational costs at rent review and lease renewal. Doe also provides advice in relation to lease restructuring opportunities, with a focus on the industrial and office markets in the South East.
He said: "I am excited to have joined Vail Williams, a firm with a big reputation for doing things the right way. I have always taken pride in providing the highest possible level of service to my clients and building relationships with them which last the test of time."
Thomas added: "Matt’s appointment comes at an exciting time when we have a good number of high profile instructions and an increased level of workflow. He will help us to continue to further grow the team. He has a particularly strong advisory background in the retail sector and he is now transitioning to incorporate an industrial/office focus too as our expanding business leads to continued strategic growth."
The promotions and appointments follow the acquisition of Bournemouth-based Cowling & West in March, strengthening Vail Williams’ South coast presence.
