Bruton Knowles, the independent national property consultancy, which has its head office at Olympus Park, Gloucester, has released its annual financial results revealing record turnover and profits.

Turnover has increased by eight per cent to reach £13.85 million and net profits have risen by 72 per cent to £2.3 million.

The Gloucester office was the first to be opened in 1862 by the national brand and has 80 members of staff, including Head of Commercial Property, Dorian Wragg, who heads up the commercial team, Partner Scott Winnard, who manages the land development team and Senior Associate, Ben Compton, who leads the rural team. The three teams deliver valuations, compensation and building consultancy services across the South West region.

The annual results mark an exceptional financial year for Bruton Knowles as the property consultancy continues to expand nationally. During 2018/2019, Bruton Knowles celebrated nearly 500 new business wins across key sectors including utilities and infrastructure, commercial, public sector and rural.

The consultancy has recently opened a new branch in London, set to service a significant and growing client base in the capital and South East. As part of the move, Bruton Knowles gathered a team of specialists from existing personnel and new appointments, with a remit to manage both existing and new clients better served from the capital.

Bruton Knowles now has 12 offices across the UK.

The property consultancy's contracts include HS2 and Hinkley “C” Nuclear Power Station, with utility and infrastructure accounts bringing £6 million into the company during the last year alone.

Anne Williams, Finance Partner at Bruton Knowles, said: Bruton Knowles is delighted with the financial results for year end 2018/19. The figures speak for themselves – the team has worked incredibly hard in order to secure record turnover and profit levels as a result of new business wins and improved productivity levels. The fact that we can continue to bring in such a significant amount of new business in a tough economic climate, across a wide range of sectors, and at such a rapid pace, demonstrates the strategic direction and added value that we provide on projects and for our clients.

James Bailey, Managing Partner at Bruton Knowles added: “We have the capability to deliver on major and national projects, and we intend to continue driving this offer forward. Our efforts to use the expertise within the business to create specialist teams, through recruitment and promotions, show that we have a highly skilled team to deliver. In fact, our recruitment drive for the coming year will see us take on record numbers and we are actively seeking new team members."
