The Business Magazine talks to Lucy Richmond, director of The South Coast Commercial Property Show about why Hampshire is such an excellent location for business

Why is Hampshire one of the best regions for business?

Hampshire holds some very impressive statistics that we want to share with you...

£50 billion.

That's the total economic output for the region, which makes it one of the most successful economies in the UK and the largest sub-regional economy in the South East of England.

“The region prides itself with a Diversity of Sectors from Aerospace, Defence, Fintech, Lifescience, Marine & Maritime and of course Finance “

LUCY RICHMOND, SOUTH COAST COMMERCIAL PROPERTY SHOW

Why should a business leader attend this year's South Coast Commercial Property Show?

The property show is the best place for businesses to get a head start, explore their options and tap into expert advice.

For local investors, it is a unique opportunity to find out about the latest commercial property opportunities and receive support with their investment plans.

For companies based outside the region thinking of relocating, it is also the perfect place to view South Coast's ever-growing portfolio of commercial properties.

The business opportunities within the region are extensive and hugely attractive!

Why is Hampshire so attractive to potential businesses?

Hampshire is home to approx 25,000 businesses in knowledge-intensive sectors providing a thriving environment, with survival rates higher than either the UK or South East averages.

Hampshire is where Digital Connection meets International Business

Hampshire is both digitally and internationally connected - offering excellent access to London and Heathrow Airport. Also a home to Southampton Airport and Southampton port - UK's leading port, and on a mission to be a truly connected #5G region.

The South Coast Property Show will be emphasising on the benefits of investing in the region.

We saw you at the Southampton International Boat show this year, how did you find it?

After a year-long hiatus, the event was a huge success, showcasing over 350 marine brands and welcoming new and existing visitors.

It's no surprise that the show had such a great reception.

Home to more than 3,000 marine and maritime companies, Hampshire’s south coast location, supply chain, and world-leading research facilities create a thriving marine sector.

By 2030 the ‘ocean economy’ is predicted to be worth $3 trillion globally!

Hampshire is at the front and centre; the sector generates more than  £5.5bn and employs circa 120,000 people.

As part of our South Coast Commercial Property Show, we want to encourage the marine and maritime growth within the South Coast region.
