The Mortgage Hut Group has added another business to its rapidly-expanding portfolio by acquiring a well-established new-build mortgage brokerage in Fareham.

The acquisition of Mortgage Integrity is a first step towards developing the market-leading new-build specialist mortgage broker on the South Coast, working closely with national and regional house builders to provide purchasers with award-winning mortgage advice.

Mortgage Integrity will be rebranded Mortgage Advice Bureau New Homes over the coming weeks.

Chris Schutrups, founder and managing director of Mortgage Hut Group, said: “Expanding the business is always at the heart of our strategy and we are delighted to acquire a thriving and well-established business with loyal customer base.

“We are really looking forward to creating a seamless transition from Mortgage Integrity to Mortgage Advice Bureau New Homes and hope that by working together we will become the market leader on the South Coast for new build mortgages.”

Alan Shaw, previously managing director at Mortgage Integrity, said: “It has been a real pleasure developing Mortgage Integrity for the past 14 years and working with such a dedicated team to get it where it is today. I am looking forward to continuing my work within the business, to see it flourish even further under new leadership.”

There will be no change for the current staff who will remain based at the offices in East Street, Fareham, and Shaw will remain onboard as a consultant.

The Mortgage Hut Group, which now has six offices across Hampshire and an office in London, was founded by Chris Schutrups five years ago and earlier this year the company was shortlisted as one of the fastest-rising property businesses on the South Coast.

Earlier this year the Group joined forces with leading support network Mortgage Advice Bureau, with the strategic aim to utilise their highly-regarded consumer brand as a trading style for the mainstream and new build markets.
