Law firm Bond Dickinson has promoted Southampton-based Joanna Beattie-Edwards from managing associate to legal director. Part of the real-estate team, she has been working in the firm for 18 years, where she also trained and qualified.

Beattie-Edwards advises several clients including The Crown Estate and Research Councils and has extensive experience in maritime estate management, carrying out onshore, foreshore and offshore property work.

Jon Hales, head of Bond Dickinson's Southampton office, said: "Our people are at the very heart of what we do. We want them to enjoy long and successful careers with us and so we work hard to make sure that everyone has the opportunity to develop, grow and be rewarded for their success. We're very proud of the talent held within our firm and I'm delighted that we have been able to recognise Joanna’s excellent work and commitment.”

Beattie-Edwards added: “I am delighted to have been promoted to the role of Legal Director and I look forward to the opportunities and challenges that my new role will offer. During my time with Bond Dickinson I have been fortunate to work with a great team and have enjoyed being involved in projects which have offered many opportunities for growth and development."

Her promotion in Southampton is part of a wider string of promotions across the firm with three of the firm's lawyers being promoted to partners and eleven associate promotions.
