Property consultancy JLL is expanding its Southampton office with six new property experts, including a new director of planning, to meet growing demand.

Alex King, an accomplished town planner with experience across both the private and public sectors, joins JLL's Southampton team from Planning Issues, where he worked predominantly within the retirement sector.

Luke Mort has joined as a senior surveyor from local practice Holloway Iliffe & Mitchell in Portsmouth. He will be responsible for industrial and logistics agency across the South Coast region, whilst also assisting the national industrial and logistics team based in JLL's London office.

Adam Stubbings has been appointed graduate surveyor to work in building consultancy and Hannah Griffiths to work in office agency. Additionally, Matt Chown and Holly Thomas have been appointed as graduate surveyors to support the office's expanding business across the south.

King, planning director, said: "I'm very excited to be joining JLL's global network of property experts. I bring many years of experience as a town planner and look forward to advising clients on all planning related issues and growing the business across the South Coast and Solent."

Emma Eaglestone, lead director at JLL Southampton, said: "I am delighted to welcome these talented, committed property professionals into our team.

"Alex has a great deal of experience and expertise and will be a huge asset to us and our growing regional planning team. He has already been appointed by Portsmouth City Council to advise on the masterplan and regeneration for the city centre.

"Our business in Southampton and the Solent continues to grow across a range of sectors and disciplines, so we're really pleased to be boosting the team with new talent and experience to meet growing demand for our services."
