Property consultant CBRE has appointed two new recruits at its Southampton office in the building consultancy and professional services divisions.

Derek Johnson has joined as a senior surveyor in the building consultancy team from MACE Cost Consultancy where he recently had been on secondment to Hampshire County Council’s property services department. Prior to this he spent four years at Baily Garner, gaining his RICS membership and completing his Assessment of Professional Competence.

Senior surveyor Tom Lawrence has joined the landlord and tenant team as a specialist rating surveyor. Prior to joining CBRE, Lawrence spent seven years at GL Hearn, part of Capita’s Real Estate Division, where he focused on building his rating expertise. He qualified as a member of RICS in 2015.

CBRE South Central managing director James Brounger comments: “We are delighted to welcome Derek and Tom to CBRE. These appointments come on the back of increasing demand for our specialist services and further enhance our client offering across the region.”
