Leading South Coast planning and design consultancy Barton Willmore has promoted Rebecca Horrocks to the role of planning director.
Horrocks, who specialises in complex planning projects across the residential and commercial sectors, previously held the position of planning associate.
Horrocks, based at Barton Willmore’s Southampton office at the White Building, is responsible for leading large multi-disciplinary teams in the preparation and submission of planning applications, including mixed-use sites and commercial developments.
With 12 years of high-level planning consultancy experience, Horrocks is currently managing and co-ordinating a number of projects, including the regeneration of the former Poole Power Station site, residential schemes in West Sussex and high-quality residential-led development in Southampton.
Robin Shepherd, a partner at Barton Willmore who leads the South Coast team, said: “This promotion is well-deserved and reflects Rebecca’s hard work, professional development and commitment to the team.
“Rebecca has vast experience in managing major projects across the public and private sector. Her promotion further strengthens our senior consultancy team and builds on the success of the South Coast office which continues to go from strength to strength.”
