Employment practice Wilcox & Co has merged with Guildford law firm TWM Solicitors.

Anthony Wilcox, proprietor of Wilcox & Co, has many years’ experience in the employment law field. He has particular expertise within the pharmaceuticals, telecommunications, specialist vehicle manufacturing, travel, publishing, education and drinks industries.

Commenting on the merger, Matthew Truelove, managing partner at TWM, said: “We are delighted to welcome Anthony Wilcox and Wilcox & Co to TWM. This merger fits perfectly into our Employment department’s strategy to expand our presence in the market and provide a broader employment law offering to our clients. We are particularly excited that we are now able to offer a full employment law training service to our corporate clients as well as a truly excellent employment and commercial mediation service to businesses. With Anthony’s assistance, our Business Law department will continue to provide practical, affordable solutions from personable, approachable lawyers.”

Wilcox's strong track record includes supporting large-scale business reorganisations, redundancies and relocations and will complement the areas of expertise currently enjoyed by TWM’s Employment team.

Wilcox is also an accredited mediator and able to undertake mediation services within both employment and commercial litigation fields.

With Wilcox’s help, the team plans to roll out a programme of in-house customer designed workshops to train managers, supervisors and HR professionals on the practical aspects of employment law issues. These will be available for all clients of TWM.

TWM’s employment team forms part of the business law team, based in Guildford. It advises businesses of all sizes, from entrepreneurial start-ups, owner-managed and family-owned enterprises, to large multi-nationals, on all aspects of their operations.
